The City of Mesquite has changed the educational incentive for police officers. The change is that, after one year of service, a police officer is now eligible for an educational incentive of $120 per month for a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject. Previously, that incentive only applied to a Criminal Justice degree until you achieved an Advanced Peace Officer Certification through TCOLE.
The following is a summary of the current educational/training incentives for police:
